Today was a momentous occasion… I actually remembered to photograph EVERY meal.
I’ll give you a moment to collect yourself.
First up, breakfast: Vanilla Chobani with a Pluot and crumbled Maple Almond Plank.
I don’t think I’m a big pluot fan. It just tasted like a less flavorful plum… maybe it wasn’t ripe?
After breakfast I did an easy 4 mile run around the neighborhood. We’re getting some of the winds from the hurricane (but no rain- boo) and it was SO nice and cool out. The last time hurricane winds came through Dallas, a tree fell on my mom’s car… luckily they weren’t quite as strong this round.
For lunch I had a wrap with the leftover Mexican Quinoa Casserole on an Ezekiel tortilla, with spinach, salsa and plain yogurt. And some tortilla chips This casserole is super filling. I didn’t get hungry until over 4 hours later, which is pretty much unheard of for me.
After lunch I ran some errands with mom… and managed to sneak yet ANOTHER fall reminder into our house.
I don’t think Brian’s noticed yet. Maybe we need to have a discussion about the importance of handwashing. Or being more observant.
For an afternoon snack, 1/2 cup of canned pumpkin mixed with 1/2 cup of plain yogurt, topped with a few pieces of Kashi Autumn Harvest cereal, whipped topping and some chocolate chips- inspired by a (much healthier) version on Kath Eats. Oh, and I did add some sweetener to the mixture. I’m only human, people.
I cleaned the house today and didn’t feel like getting the kitchen dirty, so we opted for Thai takeout for dinner. Crazy Noodles with Veggies and Tofu for me, along with a cup of Tom Yam.
Sooooo that’s it. Off to fill my head with important things, like the RNC and Project Runway… night!
