And A Good Friday To You, Sir

It’s the freaking weekend baby! No class tomorrow. Pretty exciting, let me tell you. I have big plans: sleep in, clean the house… well, um, actually a pretty nice little Friday, going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don’t know, I don’t know if I’ll have enough time.

But yeah, no real plans. Which is kind of nice.

This morning I woke up and could not breathe at all. I’m pretty sure that Chloe and I had a nice little snoring contest going on. A warm breakfast seemed like the way to go, so old school oats it was. With blackberries, of course, and crunchy PB, almonds and honey.

This afternoon I had lunch with my parents at the Allgood Cafe. Started out with a cup of Lentil Soup:

And then the Main Street Salad:

I spent the rest of the day curled up on my bed with the pug and the cat working on a presentation for next week. Once 5 hit, I reluctantly changed out of my pj pants and made an easy “dinner” before class: Peanut Butter & Cherry Jelly on Whole Wheat and a big glass of Milk.

It’s been a good tv night. We watched an episode of Kitchen Nightmares in class (LOVE it), then once I got home Brian and I caught up on tivo’d Office, Parks & Recreation, and more Office. Apparently we wore Chloe out. You can’t tell here, but she’s sleeping on my foot.

If you value personal space, NEVER get a pug.

Weekend plans?

Hanging out at home tomorrow, then heading to the lake either Friday night or Saturday, depending on how ambitious we are about getting stuff done around the house.

Yeah!! The weekend is finally here. Today is a short day at the office. Then it’s off to do a little shopping. My bday gift cards are burning a hole in my wallet.

M and I plan to drink lots of beer and watch baseball with the little brother later on this afternoon. Tomorrow is all about cooking and prepping for Easter. I’m sure we’ll manage some bar time in there as well.

Sunday is all about food, family and fun.

M and I took off from work on Monday. We are going out for a big plate of Mexican food and a movie. Fun stuff!

Busy weekend for me…but I’m hoping to get all my work done by tomorrow night so I can hang with some friends over Easter brunch :)

What did you think of Parks and Recreation? I think I liked it – though I missed the last 10 mins.

I’m going to my hometown for the first of many bridal showers. Looks like it’s wedding season in my life now. Should be fun though – I am looking forward to it!

Gammypie- a giant plate of Mexican food sounds SO GOOD. I’ve been trying to coerce Brian into taking me to Joe T’s soon… He’s not biting.

Rose- I liked it! Amy Poehler is hilarious. They gave away a lot of the jokes in the previews, though.

    Love the Old School reference!

My plan is to Spin & grocery shop today (done!), walk the Crescent City Classic with several friends (we’ll be the group with wearing pink tank tops and bunny ears) tomorrow, and dye eggs with DH on Sunday.

    Happy Easter!
