Well Well Well, How the Turn Tables.

(The title was between that and “Our Balls Are In Your Court.” Oh, decisions!)

I don’t know what the deal was last night, but I could NOT fall asleep. I just tossed and turned until 1:30- what the heck? I hope this is not a trend. Anyway, this morning I groggily made myself a quick breakfast using this Rachel’s Pomegranate Blueberry Yogurt:


Mixed with strawberries, PB Puffins and sliced almonds. I’m a big fan of the yogurt- it’s super tart, just like I like it!


After breakfast I caught up on blogs and then took a quick (windy) run around the neighborhood. I was planning on a salad for lunch but then stumbled across a few Ezekiel Sprouted Grain tortillas in the fridge. SCORE.

Wrap with a cut up Morningstar Farms (fake) Chicken Patty, hummus, romaine, tomatoes, pickles and dijon… along with cucumber slices and tortilla chips.


A few days ago I received a package on my doorstep with one of my favorite things: Food Pasta! Buitoni sent over a package of their new All Natural Wild Mushroom Agnolotti.


I got home from running errands at 6 and had to leave for class at 6:20. We were able to cook AND eat this pasta in less than 20 minutes. Nice.

The best part? It’s actually really, really tasty. I think a lot of stuffed pastas taste the same (bland, ricotta-ish); this one actually contained sizeable- and identifiable- chunks of mushrooms (portabella and crimini, FYI) and the parmesan flavor really came through. We topped it with marinara but it would have been just fine with olive oil only. I’m not going to lie- the nutritionals are not stellar: 320 cals and 13 grams of fat per serving, which ended up being about 5 large pieces of pasta. But each serving also offers 14 g of protein and 3 g of fiber.



So there you have it. I want to try the chicken and four cheese ravioli next.

Weekend plans?

Nothing definite yet, but hopefully a date night (HINT HINT, BRI) and hanging out with friends, along with cleaning the house (boo) and maybe furniture browsing.
