Glad to hear that everyone is looking forward to this weekend as much as I am!
I think I need to get used to the Snoogle pillow. It was really comfy (like a big pillow hug) and I fell asleep much faster last night, but my back was still sore this morning. It came with a diagram listing all of the different ways to position the pillow, so maybe I just need to shift it around?
For breakfast I had I had a green monster made with Almond Breeze, spinach, frozen berries, frozen banana, ground flax and a little almond butter:

I drank one of these before my last sonogram, and the baby was going nuts in there… that was what I was aiming for this morning, too, and it did not disappoint! So I haven’t posted any sono pictures yet because, frankly, they look kind of creepy. No one ever tells you that you that the sonogram displays baby’s internal organs AND skeletal system- so he kind of looks like Skeletor. Or this guy.
But today he did the cutest thing: He actually waved to us!

See the little hand? How sweet is that?
And we’ve finally settled on a name. Meet Jack:

He’s looking at the camera here. That’s his face to the left and his torso/belly to the right. He’s still measuring a week ahead, so either the due date is wrong or we’re going to have a thunder baby.
Okay, enough gushing. On to food.
After the appointment my mom, Brian and I headed to Chocolate Angel for lunch. Luckily the Preston-Forest location is MUCH less “ladies-who-lunch” than the Richardson outpost. Brian ordered the Some Like It Hot Sandwich: pimento cheese, pecans, bacon and candied jalapenos on sourdough, grilled. You know I stole a bite of that.
I had the trio with a half pimento cheese sandwich, tomato basil soup, and the pretzel salad (crushed pretzels topped with cream cheese, topped with strawberry jello):

Mmm. The soup was amazing.
Got a little munchy this afternoon, so I cut up an apple with a little almond butter and also a fresh peach. So glad those are finally in season:

Brian had a work happy hour tonight, so I tagged along with my parents to see Up. It was actually really cute. Not cute, however, was my dinner. Half a bag of popcorn and a GIANT pickle. I’ve mentioned before how the pickle is my standard M.O. at the movies. I got one on Father’s Day when we went to see The Hangover, and I think my brother was actually embarassed. I believe his words were: “Oh, so you’re the a-hole who brings the pickle into the theater.”
They are a little stinky.
I’m off to bed. I’m babysitting for a couple of hours tomorrow and hope to get a swim in there at some point. And then it’s the THREE DAY WEEKEND! Woohoo.
