Okay, so get this. Today it was close to 80 degrees outside; Jack and I went for a walk and I was sweating in a t-shirt. Tomorrow it’s supposed to SNOW. I’ll believe it when I see it…
Anyway, my mom and dad are watching Jack right now so that I could finish (err… start) wrapping gifts. I’m trying to rush and post so that I have time to clean the kitchen before the little guy gets home.
Breakfast this morning was a repeat of Monday’s: cinnamon raisin toast with cinnamon raisin peanut butter and coffee.
Jack was so sweet today. I don’t know what the deal was, but he was awake and happy most of the day! Let’s hope this wasn’t a fluke. He stayed alert through our entire 3-mile walk and I just chatted away with (at) him like a crazy person. Here’s my cutie pie in his stroller. I tried to catch a smile but he’s too quick for me… so you get a smirk instead.
My mom brought over lunch today- the good old Subway turkey sandwich:
The rest of the day was spent finishing up the baked gifts. Hopefully none of my aunts and uncles read the blog, because this is what they’re getting for Christmas.
Honey Cinnamon Granola (from Bon Appetit, Dec 09), Sweet and Savory Spiced Nuts (from Gourmet, Nov 09), and Walnut-Gruyere Crisps (from Bon Appetit, Nov 09). Sorry the photos are so dark.
The gruyere crisps are AMAZING. The recipe isn’t online, but if you have that issue- I highly recommend it.
Dinner was a ginormous salad with spinach, grape tomatoes (love), chickpeas, walnuts and leftover steak, topped with Annie’s Woodstock Dressing.
Okay, off to upload photos and clean the kitchen. I’m going to take Christmas Eve off from blogging, so everyone have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!! See you Sunday night
