Man, I don’t know what Jack’s problem was tonight- but he was PISSED. We got home from dinner and one minute he was giggling on the changing table, the next he was screaming at the top of his lungs. He even got really angry towards the end of his bath, and he normally loooooves baths. No fever or anything, so we gave him some baby Tylenol and a dose of gripe water. Maybe teething early? God help us all.
This morning I had yet another yogurt (raspberry) topped with raisins and the dregs of the Kashi GoLean Berry Crumble. And coffee.
Day 3 of the 30 Day Shred! Woohoo! Dare I say that it’s getting a little easier? Meaning that I can do like 5 wussy push-ups instead of 3. Actually, the rest of the workout isn’t that bad. The only things that get me are the push-ups and the presses. The cardio and ab stuff is no sweat… but the strength training, not so much. I’m weak.
Jack and I also tried the Baby Yoga DVD. He actually really liked it, for the most part. It’s divided up into 3 routines: play, help for digestion, and relaxation. He was great on the first two, but by the relaxation set he was officially OVER IT. He did seem mesmerized by the babies on the TV, though; he kept grinning at them. Poor guy needs some friends.
I have a whole new appreciation for leftovers now. Lunch was the last of the chicken parmesan and couscous:
This afternoon we ventured out to Old Navy because I saw some cute outfits from there on The Preppy Baby. Sadly they did not have the baby madras in Jack’s size. However they DID have a ton of cute stuff (baby and adult) on clearance with an additional 50% off. I’m refusing to buy any clothes until I’m close to my normal size (though I can buy shoes now, right? Because I really want these…) but Jack made out like a bandit. He got 10 articles of clothing for about $36. And the best part about shopping for Jack is that Brian actually gets excited about the stuff… unlike when I come home with an Anthropologie bag.
Post-shopping apple & PB snack:
My brother stopped by to say hi to grumpy Jack this evening, and once he left we headed to Tony’s for dinner. I had the Rigatoni Arrabiata with chicken and mushrooms.
Good but maybe too spicy? I’m hoping it doesn’t affect Jack.
Hope everyone had a great day! The sun is FINALLY out here and it’s warming up a bit. Oh, and happy Mardi Gras
‘Cause I haven’t done one in a while:
What (if anything) are you giving up for Lent?
I’m thinking sweets… which is why I just scarfed down our last Funfetti cupcake from Valentine’s Day. Wouldn’t want it to go to waste.
