So here’s the deal: It’s 11:55, we have to be up by 7 tomorrow morning, and we’re STILL PACKING. How does this always happen?? Oh yeah, it’s because we’re horrible procrastinators. Whoops.

I still had some Christmas errands to run today, so my awesome mama came over around 9:30 to play with Jack while I got shiz done. Post office, World Market, Froggies 5 & 10 (best toy store ever), Carter’s, Old Navy, then a quick trip to the nail salon to tame the talons. Actually, there are no talons- just grubby little nubbins. Now they’re shiny nubbins.

Since I received a surprisingly enthusiastic response to the Revlon polish post: Butter London All Hail McQueen on the fingers and OPI Got The Blues For Red on toesies.

That pic doesn’t give the Butter color justice. It just looks like a neutral taupe-y color, but in the light it’s this gorgeous prismatic microshimmer. You can kind of see it a little better with flash:

It was after noon when I got to the nail salon and I realized that I hadn’t eaten anything yet. Lordy, that never happens. So I popped on over to Starbucks next door and grabbed a Vanilla Almond Biscotti:

And my beloved Cinnamon Dolce Americano.

I feel like I haven’t seen a vegetable in a month, so when I got home I did double duty of getting in my greens while cleaning out the fridge:

Baby spinach with grape tomatoes, avocado, green olives, goat cheese and a drizzle of Annie’s Goddess Dressing.

My brother called and asked if we wanted to meet them and my parents for dinner tonight. We ended up at Fish City Grill at Preston & Royal. Dude, that place is always PACKED. I ordered the Honey-Chipotle Shrimp Tacos… though I requested grilled shrimp, they gave me fried. And they looked too good to send back. You see my dilemma?

Yum. Oh, and they randomly had a Santa in the restaurant, though I think Jack was the only child in the place. My mom took Jack to have his picture taken and he’s totally giving Santa the side-eye in the photo. I think we’ve ruined him on Santa.

Okay, off to paaaaack. South Carolina tomorrow… I’m not sure what the blogging situation will be there but I’ll do my best to post every day!
