It’s hard to focus right now because Jack is in his room screaming his head off. Poor guy, our trip really threw off his schedule. Late naps, late bedtimes, and now he’s having a rough time getting back to normal.
On the plus side, he slept until TEN this morning.
We were sadly low on groceries this morning. I made Jack scrambled eggs for breakfast but opted for cereal for myself. Am I the only one who finds eggs not at all filling? It just doesn’t feel like a meal without carbs.
So yeah, cereal. Quaker Cinnamon Oatmeal Squares.
I was reminded why I NEVER eat these with milk, only yogurt. They turn to mush in 2 seconds. Yucky.
My parents invited us to meet them for lunch at Garden Cafe. I ordered the winter greens soup (collard, chard and kale, I think) & salad w/ lemon vinaigrette. And brussels sprouts, just because I love ‘em.
After lunch we headed to Northpark to exchange some shoes (apparently my giant foot ranges from a 9 to a 10.5, depending on the brand). Good LORD the mall was packed. Even my super-secret parking area was full. Needless to say, we didn’t stay long. Exchanged the shoes, hit up the B&BW sale, then hightailed it out of there.
We went to Mariano’s for dinner, but somehow I forgot to take a photo. Soooo, to make up for it, how about a shot of our Trader Joe’s finds???
I’m super excited about the lemon pepper pappardelle and the pilaf. I’m not sure why I bought the tea… probably because the box was cute? And I’ve already busted into the oat cookies.
OH, a couple people asked for reviews on the Clarisonic. I actually received the Mia (in pink!), which is a smaller version of the standard Clarisonic brush. I’ll definitely do a review once I’ve used it for a couple of weeks.
On a related note- can anyone recommend a good eye cream??? I’m already getting nasty little wrinkles and I want them GONE.
I’ve got big plans for the rest of the evening. Brian received a Shark Steam Mop for Christmas and I’ve been waiting all day to use it. Our floors look like hell and I’m dying to see if this makes a difference. And yes, I realize that this sounds really, really sad…
