I hacked it off.
(Excuse the sad Myspace-ish pic. I tried to teach Jack how to use the Canon, but…)
(PS- I don’t normally dress to match the shower curtain.)
I searched and searched for a good “Before” pictures, but honestly could not find ONE non-ponytailed pic past December. Therein lies the problem: I never fixed my hair. Pulling it back was so much easier (i.e., lazier). But now that’s not really an option. And I’m not sure how I feel about that. Oh well, no turning back now…
My mom watched Jack while I got my hurr did. He’s wearing us out lately… pretty much through with crawling, yet he refuses to walk unassisted. So we have to hold his hand while he RUNS around the house. And all he wants to do at my parents’ house is go up and down their stairs over and over and over again. Poor Gia.
Once we got home, I was starving and basically threw together the fastest meal I could think of: Pork tacos, made from the leftover pork ragu served over corn tortillas with cheese, sour cream and salsa verde.
Once Jack woke up from his nap, we headed over to Joy’s to meet her new dog and go for a walk. We were planning on eating leftovers for dinner, but my parents called and invited us to meet them for dinner at Luna de Noche.
I really like the food at Luna de Noche, but I feel like it’s a little overpriced (though that wasn’t really an issue tonight- Thanks, Dad!)… AND, my pet peeve, they only have canned soft drinks. Annoying. So I had wine instead.
I had the soup-salad combo. Their Xochitl Soup is amazing- chicken broth with rice, avocado, chunks of chicken and pico de gallo.
Also a big fan of the house dressing… but be warned: It’s SUPER vinegary. Just the way I like it.
We’re invited to a St. Patrick’s Day potluck dinner tomorrow night… what the heck do I bring??? Any suggestions for sides that go with the theme?
