I was a bad bloggie today. Tonight we had a Mom’s Night Out at Cafe Izmir (half price tapas on Tuesdays!) and I didn’t bring my camera to capture all of hummus, dolmas, tzatziki, kabobs, piroshkis, etc.
Maybe I can make up for it with some BIG NEWS…
Jack’s going to be a big brother in June!!!! Our due date is June 16th. It’s been SO hard not saying anything about it on the blog. I’ll be 12 weeks on Saturday and (knock on wood) so far feel great. It seems like there’s been less nausea with this one, but maybe that’s just because I’m distracted by chasing a toddler. I am really tired, but maybe that’s from chasing a toddler.
Anyway, we had an OB appointment today and Brian sweet-talked our doctor into another sonogram (that’s why I married him, gals). So, because I know you’re dying to see pictures of my uterus, here you go.
This baby is a wild child. He/she was going nuts in there! Jack was always so mellow in his sonograms, just hanging out. Ruh roh. It’s also amazing to see the difference in the sonogram from 4 weeks ago. Last time all we could see was a little circle with a flutter inside, this time it actually looked like a BABY. Crazy.
Oh, and thanks for all of the smoothie suggestions! This morning I made one with a cup of skim milk, half an apple, half a frozen banana, a few frozen mango chunks, lots of spinach, a celery stalk, chia seeds, flax, Amazing Grass and a little honey. It was much better than yesterday. The kale just wasn’t working. If you have any more smoothie recipes, keep them coming!

While I feel like such an awful friend for not checking in on you these past 12 weeks…tonight was a great surprise and I am OVER the moon excited for you guys. You are just such a special family… we are so excited to see it grow.

Heather! Congratulations! I don’t know if you read my blog, but I’m due June 15th!! I hope this baby is nice and calm for you. My son was crazy in the womb, and is exactly the same outside of it. HA! My son is younger than Jack…he’s 19 months. Are you nervous about having an infant and an energetic toddler? I know I am! Congrats again! I want to see that baby bump.
