Party Time

It’s funny how we’ll have several weekends in a row with NOTHING going on, and then all of a sudden it’s just constant craziness. Last week was kind of a suck fest because Brian was working so much and literally didn’t get to see Jack from Tuesday night through Friday evening. He was coming home after Jack went to bed and leaving before he woke up in the morning. Luckily they got a bunch of daddy-son time on Saturday because I was cohosting Lauren’s baby shower.

Everything was SO CUTE. I can’t take credit for much, though… I really just handled the sweets (naturally) and they took care of the rest.

I wish I’d had a chance to take more pics DURING the shower. Here’s Lauren with all of the hostesses (Jennifer, Allison and me). We’re so excited to meet Baby Caroline next month!!!

I think there were five pregnant people at this shower… four are having girls, and one is a surprise. I think I’ve said this before, but of the 8 people I know who have found out what they’re having, SEVEN are having baby girls.

A few more shower pics…

On the menu (I’ve linked to recipes where I could find them): sparkling pink lemonade, champagne, raspberry-hibiscus tea, ham & cheese poppy seed sliders, rosemary cashews, chocolate mousse cups, thumbprint cookies, sugar cookies, cake pops.

Cake pops (lemon, strawberry, Texas sheet cake and Italian cream) from The Hospitality Sweet.

Thumbprint and decorated sugar cookies from Casa Linda Bakery.

Saturday night we also had a birthday party to attend for my sweet friend Erin, then today I had another party this afternoon, brunch with my family, and we also managed a Buy Buy Baby trip to register for a few things for baby girl. Whew.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Random but guess what, Jennifer is a sorority sister of mine! She was a couple years ahead of me; she was the rush chair for Pi Phi – small world! :)
