So Fresh & So Clean

I viewed this as our last “normal” weekend before the baby gets here. She’ll be here a WEEK from tomorrow. That is crazy talk. Anyway, I’m sure next weekend will be nuts so I tried to keep this one as low-key as possible. Hanging out with friends, a little pool time, a few errands…

On Friday night we met up with friends for dinner at Alligator Cafe, then Monster Yogurt next door for a post-dinner treat (they have sour grapefruit yogurt right now = awesome). My only complaint about dinner was that they had LOUD live music, so we couldn’t really talk. Does that make me sound old and crochety?

On Saturday we ran a few errands, then I headed to a bridal shower for my sweet friend Jill at Times Ten:

Ugh, look at that giant belly. I spent all weekend expecting (hoping?) to go into labor because it feels like she’s going to literally fall out. Brian is keeping his fingers crossed that she stays in until the 11th because of work responsibilities- but seriously?? I’m really uncomfortable. REALLY.

Anyway, lots of fun at the shower… Jilly Bean is my oldest friend (as in, we’ve been friends for 25 years- she’s actually a few months younger) and I’m SO excited about her wedding!!!

Today I had another wave of nesting. The fridge and freezer needed to be cleaned immediately.

They were actually pretty gross. I had to remove all of the shelves and soak them in the sink, which is such a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I highly recommend it.

It’s like Cribs, y’all. With FOUR boxes of popsicles. Jealous?

Anyway, the fridge thing pretty much took it out of me, so I spent the rest of the afternoon on the couch watching The Notebook. Therefore, I give you dinner.

Oh, Papa Murphy’s. I love you and your reasonably priced, thin crust pies.

(And the s’mores pizza.)

Sorry for the lame post… I do hope to get some cooking done this week. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

So exciting!! Enjoy your week before the new addition arrives. I joke that the last week or two of pregnancy is when expecting parents make big purchases ie. big screen TV’s, new lawn equipment, washer/dryer, etc… There is that feeling of we better do it now or we never will.
