Howdy HeatherBakes readers! Brian here, checking in from the “comfort” of my convertible sofa bed.
We have exciting news to share with everyone! We are now the proud parents of a beautiful, healthy, sweet baby girl.
She had decided that today was the day, no matter what. Heather started having pretty strong regular contractions this morning. I think even if we hadn’t been scheduled for a c-section today (baby girl was breech), she was coming out.
Heather’s appointment was at noon, and by 12:37 this was happening:
She measured seven pounds, five ounces and was 20 inches long (for comparison, Jack was eight pounds, nine ounces and 20 inches).
Jack got some time with his little sister and took to being a big brother right away. He loved holding her and was sad to go home without her.
Oh yeah, you probably want to know her name. Introducing Isla Grace Baker:
Heather and Isla are both doing great. We are in love and are excited to get to know this beautiful little girl. Heather has some posts lined up for the rest of the week. We’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming next week.
Yay! Enjoy this time with sweet Isla! We are so excited for your growing family.
