So, we’re into stickers right now.
Like REALLY into them. I’m okay with it because his last creative outlet was coloring the windowsill (and the bathroom floor, and the dog…), so stickers are great.
This weekend flew by. I was so excited to have Brian around for a couple of days to help tag-team the kids, and now he’s already going back to work. Wah wahhh.
Our friends pulled through yet AGAIN. Allison brought us chicken tetrazzini for dinner on Friday:
(Any other Soup fans out there? Brian’s been quoting this video all week.)
Anyway, the tetrazzini was awesome! Apparently all of our friends are amazing cooks. Score.
We also had a surprise popsicle delivery from The Morgans on Saturday evening. I’m seriously missing the pool right now, due in no small part to the fact that this really cute organic popsicle stand (HipPop) has popped up there this summer. They have all kinds of creative flavors: cucumber-lime-jalapeno, watermelon-lime, blueberry-lemon, strawberry lemonade. Anyway, sweet Erin showed up at our door with three awesome popsicles… here’s mine (coconut-pineapple):
We mostly hung around the house this weekend. I’m still not 100% comfortable taking Isla out of the house yet, and our pediatrician actually said that it’s ideal to wait 2 months before getting her out in public. We did take her for a short trip to Target on Thursday night and then out to breakfast on Saturday… but she’s always in her carseat and covered by the canopy (didn’t stop a creepy old man from trying to sneak a peek at Target- back off, dude!).
Oh, and we got takeout from Cigarz on Saturday. LOVE that place. We split a Greek salad and an order of dolmas, along with the “San Antonio” pizza- tomato sauce, seasoned spinach, mushrooms, ricotta and mozzarella.
So there’s that.
If any of you are looking for a good read- or need a 50 Shades break- I just finished our July book club selection (lots and LOTS of late night reading time on the iPhone while nursing- thank god for the Nook app): The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty. Couldn’t put it down!
