Isla and I had a big day while Jack was at school. This morning we met friends at the park. SWEET baby girls- Natalie, Caroline, Lucy & Isla:
Isla and Caroline were the life of the party, obviously.
(Not pictured: Lauren, Tara, Julie, Molly & Gabe… oh, and furbaby Charlie.)
This afternoon Isla and I headed to the hospital to meet with the surgeon. The appointment was at 2:15. Guess what time I got home? SIX.
So here’s the deal:
As we knew, I have gallstones (several!). The surgeon is concerned that the attacks are becoming more frequent so he recommended surgery pretty much immediately. As in Monday at 10am. The doctor explained how everything would go down, scheduled the surgery, then sent me down for preadmission and bloodwork. Thank goodness my dad came with me because it was a LOT of information to process, plus Miss Isla was not super happy being in her stroller for that long. Poor dad had was basically walking laps around the hospital with her.
So, there you have it. I’ve never really had a surgery where I didn’t come out of the deal with a cute new baby to play with.
My eats have been pretty boring lately- the surgeon had the same recommendations as the GI doc: No fat, no alcohol. Basically grilled chicken and veggies. Blah. The good news is that after the surgery I’ll be back to my crap eating, booze swilling self.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

we will be thinking of you guys! no booze…. borrrrinnnngg…. hope you heal VERY fast!
Thinking of you. Take care of yourself, not always easy to do with two little ones.
Hang in there little bear <3 If it helps, I'm drinking enough booze for 2 people…
Good luck! Love seeing pictures of everyone’s babies – I can tell who belongs to who by the faces!!
My thoughts to you and your family for a speedy recovery.
