So here’s the deal: It’s 10:30 and Jack JUST went to bed, Brian’s at a fantasy football draft, and Isla screamed continuously from my parents’ house all the way home and didn’t stop until I had her dressed, swaddled and fed (when she finally passed out). All I can say is thank the lord for my mom & dad. They came over to help me get the kids to bed… otherwise I’d probably be hiding somewhere in the fetal position, rocking back and forth while Jack colored on the walls.

The point being that this is going to be a picture-heavy post. I don’t have enough brain cells left for text. Today I tried to take Jack to the open gym playtime at the Walnut Hill rec center, but it was closed for cleaning. We ended up at Caruth Park instead… Isla was not impressed.

Jack was pretty much over it after 30 minutes. I felt the same. It’s still too hot for parks.

You know what the best part is of having meatloaf for dinner? Meatloaf sandwiches for lunch.

Tonight we met my parents, brother and grandparents for BBQ for my grandfather’s birthday. Isla dressed up for the occasion. That girl has SO MANY outfits. She’s finally starting to fit into her 3 month stuff and it’s like having a little doll to dress.

Hope everyone had a great day! We have meet the teacher at Jack’s school tomorrow- Mother’s Day Out starts back next week!! WOOOOOOOO!

Sadly I know how your evening was because I live it almost every night! My 3-month old cries a lot in the evenings, and my toddler doesn’t go to bed until we do. Not ideal! I’ve had my Mom come over to help me when my hubby works late. Because there’s just no way I could get both kids to bed on my own. I too would be in the fetal position crying. =)

Does Isla cry very much in general? I feel like my son cries a lot! Especially in his carseat (he screams).

I am so jealous of those cute baby outfits! It’s just not the same dressing boys.

It’s weird- if we’re at home, Isla hardly ever cries. But if we are in the car or out pretty much anywhere that isn’t home, she cries a LOT. I guess she’s a homebody-?
