I think we crammed about as much fall-ish celebrating into one weekend as humanly possible. It was perfect because yesterday we had a cold front come through and it actually FELT like fall. Of course by the end of the week it’s going to be back up into the 80′s… but for now we have our hoodies on and fire going in the fireplace. I forgot how good that smells.
On Friday, Jack, Isla and I headed to the park for our PTA pumpkin painting party. That’s a lot of P’s. Jack had a blast, of course. He was all about the glitter:
Saturday was our neighborhood’s 2nd annual Oktoberfest. We got there right after it started, which was perfect because it wasn’t too packed. Jack LOVED the petting zoo. I don’t know if you’ve visited one lately, but petting zoos these days are way better than when we were kids. They have everything- goats, sheep, llamas, chickens, piglets, ponies, soft little bunnies…
Isla spent the entire time snuggled in the Ergo. We kept each other warm.
My parents have been in Michigan for 10 days and finally got back yesterday. Today they were sweet enough to watch the kiddos for a while so Brian and I could head to the fair.
Our primary goal was to check out the car show, but of course we couldn’t leave without a giant root beer and a corn dog. And *NEWSFLASH* Fletcher’s has turkey corndogs now!!! Best news ever!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! I’m going to go enjoy my fair food hangover now.
