I just got home from another fun night of book club! We read The Handmaid’s Tale this month (I actually didn’t quite finish… oops). Isla has been waking up a lot more often at night, so whereas I usually read in bed at night, now I’m having trouble keeping my eyes open. Last night I went to bed at midnight and Isla was up to eat at 1:30 and then again at 5. Ugh.
Speaking of reading, remember a couple of weeks back when I attended the Hallmark Moments and Milestones Tour? Well, they sent us home with an amazing gift bag containing all kinds of Hallmark goodies. My two favorite items were the Interactive Story Buddy and the Recordable Storybook.
The Interactive Story Buddy I received is this super soft, adorable bear named Christopher. He’s wearing some pretty sweet PJ’s.

But the best part? The bear comes with a storybook (and a CD), and when you read the book, the bear actually responds to the story. It’s so fun and Jack LOVES it.
On to the Recordable Storybook: pretty much the best idea EVER. We actually have a few of these, and they have many, many titles to choose from (including familiar options- Goodnight Moon, Love You Forever, and my personal fave, On the Night You Were Born).

I love the whole recordable storybook concept. Brian’s parents have recorded a few for Jack so that his grandparents can read him a book even though they live across the country. I want to record one so that Jack can hear us read to him when he has a sitter or if we ever go out of town (like that ever happens, but still). It seems like there are so many great uses for these. Oh, and there’s no way that the kid can accidentally record over anything, AND it still preserves the original recording even when the book runs out of batteries.
So enough raving, Hallmark has graciously offered to send one Heather Bakes reader an Interactive Story Buddy AND a Recordable Storybook!! These would make great Christmas gifts for any kiddos in your life.
There are a few ways to enter. You get one entry for letting me know your fave children’s book (that one is mandatory), 10 entries each for following me on Facebook or Twitter (just enter your name/username if you’re already doing that… go you, my BFF!) and another 10 for Tweeting about the giveaway. You have until Monday at midnight to enter. Oh, and I’m not sure which Story Buddy or book you’ll receive, but they’re all awesome so no worries. Good luck!!

Fave children’s book = any of the llama llama books
One of my favorite children’s book is either the Poky Little Puppy or the Very Hungry Caterpillar. I also love anything Dr. Seuss. I love reading old classic books to my kids!
Favorite children’s book is probably “I’ll Love You Forever” (even though it’s sad)!
Favorite childhood book as The Little Red Hen. I read it a million times!
At the moment I really like “Treasure Bath” and “Rainy Day” – both are illustrated and have no words, so Jude loves to go through the read us the story!
I love Go Dogs Go, it is my son’s favorite
My favorite was “Jenny goes to the hospital” my parents got so sick of that book!
