I can’t believe that tomorrow is Christmas Eve!!! Which probably means that no one will actually read this post, but we had a LOT going on this weekend so I’m going to post it anyway.
First up, guess who got his Christmas present from Gia and Baba early?
That really was his face as soon as he saw it. My dad and Brian worked on putting it together all through Jack’s naptime, and we actually woke him up to come see…
A trampoline!
He started freaking out and asked, “HOW DID THAT GET HERE????”
I might be more excited about it than he is… I mean, really? Is there a better way to wear a kid out?? I’m just a little bummed because I *ahem* exceed the weight limit.
Other good stuff from the weekend:
Jack begged to go over to my parents’ house on Saturday, so I dragged Brian out in the Christmas madness to do a little shopping while we were down a kid. We were both pretty hungry afterward so we headed over to this restaurant in Lakewood that Brian has been raving about nonstop, Jerry’s Wood-Fired Dogs. Brian LOVES his hot dogs (LOLOLOL) and he kept talking about this place, and I kept rolling my eyes, but he was kinda right. They give you a choice of hot dog (regular, turkey, veggie) and then your choice of a huge array of toppings. I ended up with a turkey Chicago dog:
But then he was all, “We have to try the hot chips!”
And I’m all, “Meh, chips. Whatever. I’d rather have fries.”
But OH MY GOODNESS.
These are more like a chip-fry hybrid of wonderfulness. This is WT, but they remind me of those tater twisters you get at the fair, but better because they’re not all soggy and gross.
Also awesome? We met Lauren, Robert and Caroline for brunch this morning at the Allgood Cafe and I had the Mega-Egg Sandwich: fried egg with tomato, avocado, cheddar, shaved ham (though I’m like 99% sure it was turkey) and Tabasco mayo on sourdough. That was a damn good breakfast sandwich.
So Jack found this random red felt flowered hat in our garage the other day. I bought it for a costume party three years ago and it’s just been sitting out there since… and now he demands to wear it everywhere.
Also, can you believe that this girl is 6 months??
Actually more like 6 1/2 months. We’ve been really bad about taking (and sharing) her monthly pics but I’m going to try to be better about it. New Year’s resolution.
That’s all I’ve got- hope everyone has a fun and safe Christmas!!! XOXO

Oooh, love the trampoline…I’ve never seen one like that. So perfect for younger kids! I might have to remember that for Caden’s birthday. I hope The Baker’s have a very Merry Christmas, and safe travels later in the week! : )
