Last Hurrah

Brian and I have been talking for months about how we need to make a trip to the lake, but with soccer, birthday parties, family obligations, etc., we just hadn’t found a good opportunity to go. This weekend Jack finally had a break from soccer, so we piled in the car Friday evening and headed down there.

So much fun! The weather was great and the kids had a blast running around outside. Laura and Owen drove up Saturday afternoon and my brother came that night, so eventually there were 6 adults, 3 kids and 4 dogs- which sounds insane but actually worked out really well. Geez, look at these sweet babies! Could they get any cuter??

I mean…

Honestly, happiest baby ever. He’s so much fun.

Brian and I decided that we are going to attempt the Whole 30, starting tomorrow. Therefore this weekend was basically a blowout of all of the wonderful things that we’re not going to be able to eat for the next month. Like Mint Oreo Blizzards.

And pizza, and pasta, and wine, and Route 44 Diet Coke with Lime (easy ice). Go big or go home, right? Tonight I cleaned out the fridge of all of the no-no’s and then we made a BIG shopping trip to Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. Geez, Whole 30 ain’t cheap.

So my goal is to snap pics of all 3 meals, every day that I do this in order to hold myself accountable. But I may be so bitchy when I can’t have my trashy sugar-free coffeemate that I forget. Seriously? NO sweetener? I’m going to die.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
