Holla! We had a pretty fab day. It was gorgeous out so after naps I dug out this sprinkler ball that my mom bought us last year (and we never used, for some reason) and set it up for the kids. Jack FREAKED OUT, Isla took a minute to warm up to it, and Chloe got the hell out of there.
Brian and I met up for a little lunch date while the kids were at school. HG Sply Co. is a dream if you’re eating paleo or Whole 30. My favorite is the build-your-own bowl where you get to just layer a bunch of veggies, meat and toppings. Today mine had spicy roasted broccoli with bacon, mushrooms, peppers, Mexican-style pork and guacamole:
So good. Brian tried the Burgerstack- a bowl with sweet potato hash, lettuce, tomato, avocado and a wagyu beef patty, topped with a fried egg. I had a bite and it was pretty fab as well.

I went to bed way too late last night and then was up early this AM, so tonight I just kind of phoned dinner in. I mean, as much as you can on Whole 30. I just sauteed shredded brussels sprouts and mushrooms in some avocado oil, then threw in some leftover roasted butternut squash and a diced chicken sausage and topped it all with avocado. I also added garlic powder and a splash (or eight) of balsamic:
So there’s our day. Still feeling good! No crazy carb cravings. I took the kids for donuts before school this AM and wasn’t even tempted. I do miss my coffee drive-thru’s, but I just cannot drink it black. No. Someone needs to invent mini containers of coconut milk so I can tote those around like a crazy person and actually go through Starbucks again. Is that too much to ask?
