My name is Heather. I live in Dallas, TX with my husband (Brian), son (Jack), daughter (Isla) and pug (Chloe). I got my degree in psychology, worked in marketing, and then gave in and realized that my true passion is FOOD. I’m in the middle of culinary school but am taking a little time off to be a mama. This blog was started in March of 2008 as a hobby… and has now taken over my life. If you go out to dinner with me, I may take a picture of your food.

I also enjoy: running, reading, shopping, design, and music. I have a problem sitting still for more than 5 minutes at a time– but we’re working on that. Enjoy the blog!

I just noticed the “that’s what she said” tag line at the top – so classic, I think it fits with pretty much anything said in general conversation.

I have the pleasure of working with Heather. You will never meet a more charming, quick-witted and brilliant girl. Unless of course, you have met my niece, Katherine. I love you, Kate!

I just came across your site through Kath Eats. I read your profile and wanted to say good for you on pursuing your baking career. I am a stay at home mom who loves to bake and I tell my husband on a daily basis that I want my own bakery. Good luck!

I am Heather’s baking teammate at school. I will say I am so glad I am on her team rather than the others. She is so sweet and a good baker. Our other teammate Kerrie is also lots of fun. I look forward to making many more sweet treats with Heather!

After hearing about your site in class….. Very well done.

You have been a very adept student and have adapted well to the culinary world. This is a good starting point for you on hopefully a nice career move.

Good luck past the long summer semester, and I will keep my eyes on your site.

I live with my pug Pugsley, my pug puppy Otis and my soon to be yearling, bred one time by a friend and not for her, pug Suzy (oh, and my husband, Will, and daughter, Emily). Yes, we’re a pug-loving bunch. Just wanted to wish you luck on you culinary adventure. I’ll keep watch and stop by your bakery someday!

Hey Heather, I just found your both (via Kath’s of course!) and I have to do a ’90′s throw-back – You Go Girl! I am so impressed by people who have the guts to give culinary school a go; I think it sounds amazing! Also, cutest pug in the entire universe.
